OUR PRODUCTS
All our products are made with natural ingredients and are without chemical preservatives, quite like fresh food. We are constantly making them in a rotation of small batches to ensure that the shelf life is as long as possible once it reaches you. It is best to use our products right away. Storing all products out of direct sun exposure and out of direct water contact with ensure longevity.
Bar soap should be used within 6-8 months for freshness and, when in use, stored in a draining dish.
Our liquid soap has a shelf life of 2 years.
Mater Serum and Salt Soak should be used within 8 months.
We advise our customers to read labels to check for ingredients you may be allergic to. Always do a small patch skin test to see if you have any reactions. Never use products in the eye area or internally. If concerned, always consult your doctor.

Due to the nature of our products, all items are final sale. If you are unhappy with something, we will do our best to help you find a product that might be of your liking. Please e-mail info@matersoap if you have any questions or concerns about products and we will do what we can to help.

OUR PACKAGING
We try to use as minimal packaging as possible, as well as refill containers to minimize waste. Please reuse your glass either by refilling with our refill options or repurposing! (our salt soak jar is a great container!)
We ship your products with recycled paper and cardboard, biodegradable packing peanuts and occasionally recycled bubble wrap. You may dispose of your packing peanuts by composting them, dissolving them under water in your sink or reusing them.
PACKAGING RECOMMENDATIONS
Any plant-based non-synthetic liquid soap will congeal at the spout. Just clear away any blockage by hand or by a controlled press of the pump.
Our liquid soap pumps may arrive pressurized by travel, direct sunlight and occasional atmospheric shifts. You can solve this problem by unscrewing the pump top and releasing the pressure. Make sure to keep it out of sunlight.
Contact us as soon as possible if this doesn’t solve your problem.
Once the product is delivered and in your care, Mater Soap is no longer responsible for any breakage. Please treat all products carefully, especially items in glass.
HOW WE SHIP
Orders typically ship within 2-4 days. However, all our products are handmade which means sometimes it takes longer. We ship all items with USPS and UPS. Packages usually will arrive 3-5 days after shipped. A tracking number is emailed once the item ships. The price of shipping is generated by the weight of the product. We offer automatic FREE SHIPPING on orders over $125.

Not currently but email us and we may be able to get your order out of the U.S.
Q. WHAT DO I DO ABOUT A MISSING PACKAGE?
The best way to deal with a missing package is ask your postal worker! They touch, sort and deliver all your mail and becoming familiar with them is a great thing. Sometimes packages are marked “delivered” prematurely and sometimes they will be left in strange places (neighbor, side door etc.)
Mater Soap is not responsible for lost or stolen packages and cannot offer refunds once proof of delivery is generated. We are not responsible for unexpected shipping delays caused by conditions like bad weather, holidays, natural disasters and other situations that might have an effect on the mail. Mater Soap automatically generates a shipping label based on the information you provide. If your item is shipped to the wrong address or returned to sender due to the inability of the shipper to gain access or deliver the order, we will ask you to cover the cost of reshipment. We cannot offer refunds for lost packages for above stated reasons. We do like to be in-the-know, so please alert us if anything has disrupted the delivery.
Q. WHAT IF MY PACKAGE WAS DAMAGED DURING SHIPPING?
If your package arrives and your items are visibly damaged, you may refuse the package and you should contact the carrier as soon as possible. If you find it delivered damaged, please email info@matersoap.com within 2 days of receipt with the following:
-your order number
-a photo of the damage: include images of item and original packaging.
